Happy Friday y'all! It's been a great summer but it's time to get down to business... and by that we mean putting our health first and slimming down. This week we decided it was time to bring Fasting back into our lifestyle.

We kicked off the week with our own DIY version of the Fasting Mimicking Diet (FMD). If you've not heard of it, Prof. Valter Longo wrote an amazing book called The Longevity Diet where he shares his 5-Day Fasting Mimicking Diet that is sure to kickstart your health and weight-loss journey back onto the road for success - we highly recommend this read!

A basic breakdown of the FMD = calorie and macro restriction over a short 5 day time-span to trick your body into thinking you are fasting, while inadvertently limiting the hours in which you are eating. It's somewhat similar to Intermediate Fasting except you are eating much less. There's all kinds of Intermediate Fasting too: 16 hours off and 8 hour window to eat, 24 hours water only fast once a week, and so many more. However you decide to try it, Fasting is such an incredible tool that you can use to regain control of your health.
